In an effort to keep the history section of this web page focused on postcards, a glossary has been provided to give more detailed explanations of many of the terms it brings up. One must take note that many of the definitions found here have an emphasis on the way they relate to postcards and may have broader meanings that have been omitted. Please click on the letters above to access the alphabetical definitions. There are links to additional guides on understanding postcards below. We will continue to add more guides to this list.
A number of historical occurrences and activities are also included here, for while many postcards were printed on those particular themes they have past from the realm of general contemporary knowledge. At a future point many more of these types of definitions will be added and a separate section created just for such entries.
